The pH Dilemma: New Answers
Carol R. Keppler, M.EI
It’s a given—the American public is besieged with disease. And as we age we’re told that we’ll all experience disease in some form or another. Now babies and young children are falling prey to the diseases of adults— babies with cancer, childhood diabetes, pre-schoolers with asthma and arthritis and teens having heart attacks on the athletic fields across America.
What if a balanced pH was the only difference between being healthy and having a disease? We have begun to hear murmurs of this possibility. The pH Miracle, explores the connection, providing an alkalizing eating plan to counteract the effects of the inner workings of the body, which Dr. Robert Young believes causes acidosis, the root cause of all diseases.
Dr. Louis Pasteur, who was known for his “germ theory” (that disease was caused by germs), on his deathbed said, “The germ is nothing; the inner terrain is everything.” “Biological terrain” is the latest buzzword. The Biological Terrain Analyzer, a device that measures acid/alkaline levels, is now available to the public, a step in the right direction.
Your Incredible BodyIs pH important? Indeed it is! The body was designed to constantly monitor and balance pH (potential Hydrogen), twenty-four/seven. The pH range 1.0 to 6.9 is acidic, 7.0 neutral, and 7.1 to 14 alkaline. A slightly alkaline system of 7.2 to 7.4 is essential, putting the cells in an alkaline or building mode (anabolic) as opposed to acidic, which throws the body into a breakdown (catabolic) state. The medical profession recognizes metabolic acidosis and alkalosis as “killer diseases” affecting most often the kidneys and the central and peripheral nervous systems.
These conditions are normally reversed by treating the underlying cause, which might be an ingested toxic substance or severe electrolyte imbalance. If the kidneys are unable to handle the level of acidity, dialysis will be used to save the life.1 It’s a widely accepted practice to use a litmus test (purchased at any drugstore) to determine body pH by testing the saliva, which should be slightly alkaline.
All major body processes, including respiration, digestion and elimination depend on a system that is slightly alkaline. In a highly acidic body, the whole gastro-digestive system can come to a standstill with little if any peristalsis action, the wave-like movement which depends on alternating alkaline and acid fields throughout the digestive tract. An alkaline mouth is the first part of a perfectly functioning gastrointestinal tract with food moving into the acid environment of the stomach, then the alkaline small intestines and finally into an acid colon. Without peristalsis action to move the food along, the wastes clog the colon allowing deadly acidic fecal matter to seep back into the blood stream and lymphatic system, ultimately poisoning the entire system.
Seventy-five trillion cells, bathed in alkaline structured water during gestation, are now in trouble once their supply of structured water becomes more polluted, more acidic due to accumulated toxins. Vital signs (respiration, blood pressure, heartbeat/pulse and core temperature) are impacted, all too often going unrecognized as a warning signal of medical acidosis.2 The medical community will generally treat each individual symptom with a (highly acidic) drug adding to an already overloaded system. Cell membranes are easily scarred causing the cells to fail in their ability to receive nutrition and the water needed to amp the hydro-electric energy required for self-repair. The result is atrophy and eventual cell death. One Disease--Acidosis Although we know there is a definite link between acidity and disease states, we seldom explore the root cause of this often seemingly “incurable” condition. We know that a poor diet has much to do with a balanced pH and that the Standard American Diet (SAD) of high protein animal products, sugar, coffee and carbonated beverages is extremely acidic.
In some cases, eating more fresh fruit, vegetables and unprocessed foods can be helpful to those with acidic conditions. Some swear by alkaline drinking water. But there are acidifiers that are harder to resolve starting with the toxic world we live in — chlorine pools, fluoride toothpastes, chemical-laced shampoos, lotions, soaps and hair dyes, plus our daily dose of carbon-monoxide to name only a few of the thousands of products, foods and air-borne pollutants we’re exposed to in our daily existence. Now we know that chaotic electric overload can also cause hyper-acidity— cell phones and hair dryers, computers, and all the rest of the things we require to be comfortable during our stay on this planet. Now add some of nature’s acidifiers— solar flares, geopathic stress and near-lightning strikes.
Up until this time there has been little information on neutralizing electric at the cellular level, except minimally, with sea salt soaks or walking barefoot on the ground or grass. With the new energy medicine it is possible to neutralize this chaotic electric at increasingly more subtle levels through the Infinite Energy Field, and beyond allowing the body to regain its natural, healthy alkaline state of homeostasis. Add the stress factor, the root cause of so many digestive upsets, to all of the other acid-producing situations above and we have a national problem of epidemic proportions. The medical system is staggering under the steadily increasing cases of acid-induced diseases like GERD (Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease). Cancer, diabetes and cardio-vascular events are part of the litany not to mention multiple others diseases said to have “no known cause and no known cure.” The answer in western medicine often is “more medicine”, not to forget that drugs are chemicals and therefore highly acidic in themselves. The best medication can do is mask symptoms giving the patient not a cure, but a little more “quality time” known in medical circles as “remission”. Now we’re dealing with hyper-acidic systems caused by toxic medications, and we know that an acid terraine is the perfect breeding ground for all disease. There are three additional factors that cause acidosis: 1) a damaged or sometimes non-functional Houston’s valve at the end of the descending colon can leach highly acidic wastes back into the blood stream and lymph system. 2) stress-triggered adrenals continually dump acidic cortisal into the system for perceived “fight or flight” action 3) the Cellular Repair Response System (CRRS) jump starts the repair process by sending acidic cytokine hormones to the site of injury— for the most part, not a problem. However, when the “injury” is systemic as in the case of emotional trauma or electrical overload, the cytokines, finding no site of injury, may never turn “off”. This natural body response can be precipitated by: the body trauma of accidents, sports injuries, operations, dental procedures, even a difficult birth, ●the emotional trauma of abandonment, divorce, childhood trauma ●toxic overload by injection, ingestion, absorption or inhalation ●chaotic electric overload accumulated over the years from working around electrical devices, sleeping under an electric blanket or living in close proximity to high voltage wires, or a military base. In Florida near-lightning strikes are everyday events.3 There is a great need for more effective ways of dealing with the escalating rate of illness of not just the physical body but those of mental health as well. Billions have been spent on research for new and different answers with no real breakthroughs in all these years. Subtle energy therapies have proven themselves in the marketplace to be effective and safe—good reason to investigate further.
The truth is, there is only one disease—acidosis! There is no doubt that there are answers where few existed before; energy medicine is one important piece of this puzzle, incorporating the subtle frequencies of thousands of herbs and other “naturals” into water-based formulas with the capability of resetting the human system by balancing the pH back to slightly alkaline, the place where no disease can survive.
